Vancouver MP’s Libby Davies, Ujjal Dosanjh and Hedy Fry will be part of a community dialogue on federal measures needed to combat homelessness. Conservative MP David Emerson’s refusal to participate will be creatively acknowledged.

A dramatic performance about homelessness will kick off the dialogue. “Being Poor in a World Class City” is a theatrical piece that features a hooded figure and a twelve-foot gallows.

Neighbourhood representatives of Point Grey, Kitsilano, Kerrisdale, West End, Grandview Woodlands, Douglas Park, Gastown, Yaletown, UBC, Oakridge, Riley Park, Downtown Eastside and False Creek make up the newly formed Citywide Housing Coalition (CWHC) and they organized this event.
